 | | PIANO SERVICE
Absent a referral, I've noticed that piano owners increasingly use the web to find qualified technicians, just as they used the yellow pages back in 1972 when I got my first job doing prep work for a piano dealer in Rockville, MD, my home base for the last thirty-five years. I passed my tuning, bench, and written exams in 1976 and became a Registered Piano Technician (RPT) member of the Piano Technicians Guild . I attended numerous PTG advanced technical seminars, later serving as an instructor, and wrote articles for the Piano Technicians Journal on tuning and business. (Two of my photographs have been featured on the cover.)
During the 80s, I sold new pianos and maintained a shop for rebuilding, but my day-to-day business has always been piano tuning, regulation, voicing, and repairs in homes, schools, churches, and various performance venues. I also inspect privately owned pianos prior to purchase and recommend The Piano Book if you’re looking for purchase advice.
If you would like to schedule an appointment, please contact me through the guestbook on this site and I will call you as soon as I can.
